Introducing the Big Five Personality Profile
Team Building Bot now builds a Big Five personality profile for every participant, automatically, from how a meeting actually unfolds. Now in beta.
We’ve added a new report to Team Building Bot: a Big Five personality profile for every participant, created automatically from the meetings the bot already sits in on. No surveys, no questionnaires, no extra admin for your people. They simply meet as they normally would, and the profile is built from how the conversation actually unfolded.
It shows up as one more option when you schedule a session, alongside the reports you already use.
What the report covers
The Big Five is the most widely trusted model in personality psychology, and it gives teams a shared, plain language for talking about how they work together. Each profile covers five traits: how someone engages with new ideas, how they organise and follow through, how much they draw energy from group interaction, how they balance their own views against the team’s, and how they respond to pressure. Every trait comes with a short, readable description of what it looks like in practice, so the report is useful to someone reading it for the first time, not just to a trained coach.
If you want the background on the model itself, our guide to the Big Five personality traits covers where it comes from and what the evidence says.
How it’s meant to be used
It’s designed to start conversations, not close them. A profile is a mirror, a way for a team to notice patterns in how they communicate and to talk about them openly. It works best as a prompt in a coaching session or a team workshop, where people can compare notes, recognise their differences and use them well.
We’ve built this carefully and honestly. The report uses calm, descriptive language rather than clinical labels, and where there wasn’t much conversation to go on, it says so clearly instead of guessing. Most importantly, the Big Five Profile is a development tool. It is made for self-insight, coaching and team growth, and it is never intended for hiring, promotion or performance reviews. That principle is stated on every report we produce.
Available now in beta
The profile is launching in beta. We’re rolling it out to selected clients first so we can gather feedback and keep refining it before a wider release. If you’d like to see the Big Five Profile for your team, get in touch and we’ll switch it on for your account.
